Program outline

The Science & Engineering Research Projects program provides students the unique opportunity to obtain practical scientific knowledge as part of a professional research team at Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany (LUH). LUH is member of TU9, i.e. LUH is one of the nine best technical Universities in Germany.

Natural Science and Engineering students (from our partner universities in USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand only) will be fully integrated within their designated institute. During the twelve weeks program students will be introduced to German engineering at university and industrial level. Students will visit world known companies -based in Hannover- such as VW, Sennheiser, Wabco or MTU.

At the beginning of their research stay students will learn the basic principles of their designated research project and will continue working self-dependently under the supervision of experienced scientists.

At the end of program students are expected to give a presentation and, upon request, a project thesis will be written for further scientific use.

Before arrival, the student will get in contact with his German Study Buddy who will help them finding their way and to answer common everyday life questions.
